Welcome to the Social and Moral Learning Lab at University of Wisconsin-Madison!
We are a developmental psychology lab run by Dr. Pearl Han Li. Our lab studies children’s social learning and moral cognition from developmental and cultural perspectives. We are especially interested in how children learn from others, form and revise their beliefs, and reason about social and moral issues across cultures. By uncovering key insights into children’s social cognitive development, we aim to inform and support parents and educators. We strive to create an engaging and enjoyable research experience. Our topics of interest include children’s reasoning about belief change, the development of intellectual humility, moral evaluations in close relationships, and the influence of social context on children’s moral judgments.
